Punta Marenco's hilltop lodgings accommodate a maximum of 25 guests in comfortable, rustic cabins, each with a private terrace offering a panoramic view of the Pacific. Rooms come with comfortable beds, private bathrooms, and rustic-style furnishings. There is electricity for only a few hours in the evening and no hot water. No alarm clocks are necessary as guests are awakened each morning to the merry sounds and colorful plumage of toucans and scarlet macaws.

Family-style meals are served in a large airy dining room where guests are treated to generous portions of “tico-style” delicacies and tropical fruit drinks, served around a communal table.

Guests can take a guided hike along nature trails that lead down to the beach and deep into the Río Claro National Wildlife Refuge, Gateway to Corcovado National Park - one of the last refuges for Jaguars, Giant Anteaters, Tapir, White lipped Peccaries and a host of other rare rain forest animals. Trees tower over 140 feet and support hundreds of species of ferns, bromeliads and orchids.

Other activities in and around the lodge include bird watching, horseback riding, scuba diving or snorkeling at Isla del Caño Biological Reserve, swimming, fishing, kayaking and more.
