The Chachagua Rain Forest Hotel is ideally located in the eastern foothills of the Tilarán Mountains, in one of the most biologically diverse areas of Costa Rica. The privately owned reserve borders the International Children's Rain Forest, adjacent to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.
Part of the Chachagua property is a working ranch, so visitors can observe the production of various tropical fruits and vegetables, as well as poultry, beef, eggs, milk and cheese.

The The Chachagua Rain Forest’s 23 attractive bungalows offer two queen beds, a private hot water shower, ceiling fan, large dresser and mirror, and porch area for relaxed nature viewing. Wooden-plank walls and polished hardwood floors complete these finely styled accommodations.

Rustic, well-marked walkways lead from the bungalows across a stream to the reception area, where guests will encounter a natural swimming pool, outdoor rancho/bar, and the open-air dining room.
