  Villa Blanca

Located an hour from San José amid the lush rolling hills of San Ramon, Villa Blanca Hotel provides comfort, relaxation and adventure in one of Costa Rica’s most diverse biological regions. The Villa Blanca’s proximity to the Los Angeles Cloud Forest Biological Reserve provides guests with countless opportunities for educational and exciting nature excursions.

The hotel’s spacious main lodge resembles a colonial farmhouse and features conference rooms, reception area and a Costa Rican style bar and restaurant. Forty-eight red tiled adobe cabins are built and decorated in the local folk tradition, all of them featuring a cozy fireplace and rustic décor. The spacious bungalows come fully equipped with comfortable queen or twin beds, fireplace, stocked mini-bar with coffee maker and garden porch. The bungalows are nestled within botanical gardens surrounded by a 2000-acre private reserve. A second fully equipped lodge sleeps thirty and is ideal for students or large groups.

Buffet style meals are tasty and filling, allowing guests to sample a wide assortment of traditional Costa Rican delicacies. Guests will be charmed by the warm attentive service and friendly hospitality characteristic of the Costa Rican people.

The Villa Blanca Hotel offers a wealth of exciting activities, as well as educational tours that include a visit to the Los Angeles Cloud Forest, a private biological reserve with its own research station. Here, expert guides will lead guests down vine-draped trails where they will learn about the dozens of life-saving medicinal plants and countless species of birds that inhabit this refuge. Other excursions include horseback riding through secondary forests to Villa Blanca’s dairy farm operation, canopy tours, guided walks and bird watching.
