Arenal Volcano, Tabacón Hot Springs & Canopy Tour

This tour to the Arenal Volcano begins in the mid-morning when guests are picked up from their San José hotel in a comfortable mini-bus and driven through the Central Valley, then northwest through rolling coffee plantations and rich farmlands to the Arenal Volcano.

Visitors can enjoy the Canopy Tour at Tabacón in the afternoon. In this exciting adventure, the visitor will move from platform to platform using high-angle equipment and techniques on a new system designed especially for this location. There are 8 platforms, 2 horizontal traverses (or zip lines), 2 rappels and an inclined glide from the treetops down to the poolside of the Las Fuentes Spa, the newest edition to the Tabacón Spa. Ease your tired muscles into the soothing hot water pools before returning to the main building at the Tabacón Spa where a hot dinner is waiting for you.

Enjoy a leisurely evening at the Tabacón Hot Springs, splashing around in more than a dozen pools and sampling volcanic-strength cocktails at the swim-up bar. Expansive landscaped tropical gardens stretch out in every direction and merge into the surrounding rain forest. The glowing peak of the Arenal Volcano looms above.
